Hiking on a back-country trail, we came across a series of beaver ponds and dams.

Evidence that the beavers are still active, is front and centre.

I imagine what fun they have,

sliding down from one pond to another!

This picture was taken at noon, on a Croatian island, just as a storm was brewing.

The dark clouds were howling in, but the sun was still bright.

I love the contrast between the stark white change huts, the rainbow doors, and the almost black sky.

Now that's a big window washing job!

Leaves scatter on the paths, cyclists and walkers cross the bridge,

but the water level is lowered and the stairs are in place ...

It's coming!

Steel girders, shadows and the canal in November.

Walking along the canal verifies that the NCC is doing its job

and preparing for the Skating Season.

Although we hope it won't be here for a month or more, we are ready!
