The joy of skating early on a weekday  morning ...

Jan. 16 ~ Glorious Ice Today

After being closed for several days because of the January Thaw,

the canal opened again this morning.

This ice was fantastic! It was a joy to skate, enhanced by my New Blades!

Jan. 15 ~ Finally ...

... I found something beautiful in this January Thaw.

The lovely sunset colours are reflected in the wet pavement,

and the sky is glowing with winter colours!

Jan. 14 ~ Art Class

After a year of not taking art classes, and little inspiration to work on my own,

 I finally returned to class today.

Ah, winter does make a beautiful subject!
