Thursday, Sept. 5 - The Last Thursday Swim

It was 8 degrees when we started the swim at 6:30 AM !
This is the last Thursday of a twice-weekly summer  tradition!
Magda, Margaret, Ted, Tom, Jen, Peg, Steve & Barb.
Thanks to Toe for coming out to support us, and taking the picture,
even though he couldn't go in the water!
I have enjoyed every minute of a summer of open water swims.

Wednesday, Sept. 4 ~ Rocks

Every summer, the Rock Artist reconstructs these wonderful rock sculptures,
on the bike path along the Ottawa River..
And every winter, the wind and snow destroy them.
His tenacity and creativity are to be admired.

Tuesday, Sept. 3 ... Chair on Stair!

One of the joys of a bile ride in Ottawa, is the element of Surprise!
There is usually something new to see, such as this 'painting' of a beach scene on some stairs!
These stairs join the canal bike path to the wellington - Rideau corner,
just south of the tunnel going under Wellington Street.

Lovely late afternoon light to end a beautiful day on the lake.
Dianne holds the canoe in readiness for the paddle back.

Sunday, September 1 ~ Lac La Peche

Beautiful - both the canoe and the scenery!

Saurday, August 31 ... Lac la Peche

Lac La Peche is the most northerly lake in Gatineau Park, and thus the least used.
It is a beautiful lake, with a small delightful island off one shore.
Dianne and I spent the day there, swimming, relaxing and chatting.
