January 30 ~ Pattern

This delicate little flower was in my garden last summer, and now I am trying to winter it over.

The flower measures less than 3 cm across, so I took a  micrto shot for this.

Until I looked at it on the computer, I didn't notice the 'hatch' marks,

made from the pattern of the sun shining through the screen!

My friends, Andrea and Judy, are taking their dogs for a  'skate?' on the ice.

How lucky we are to live in a place with incredible recreation opportunities so close!

December 31 ~ Meech Lake Skating

Last day of the year and a picture of Meech Lake - usually posted in the summer!

But for a few rare days every few years, the ice forms for skating.

In the sunshine, it looks like a postcard!
