October 11 ~ Winter Storage

The canoes and paddle boats are in winter storage at Dow's Lake.

There is a short window of opportunity for this shot ...

after the boats have been put in storage, and before the lake is drained for skating.

 Any yes, you have to have a calm day to capture the reflection!

Oct.7 ~ Leaves

A perfect Maple Leaf floats on the Rideau River.

The water background is almost purple.

October 5 ~ A mystery ...

Interesting 'leaves' (or something!) floating in the Mer Bleu Bog.

October 4 ~ New Bridge

This is the foundation for the new bicycle and pedestrian bridge,

 crossing the Rideau River between the Rideau Tennis Club and Strathcona Park.

There are still some flowers in bloom in my neighbour's garden, and some insects at work.
