I started this painting last week and finished it today.
The exercise was to work only in blacks and greys, and I used only three colours for this piece.
It is from a photo of my dad, taken about 1942, I estimate.
I like how it remains true to the original 'old' photo atmosphere.
Yes, that is before I was born!
